Location Based Social Networks, in a Nutshell. [Infographic]
With the launch of Facebook Places today, there is a lot of talk on this being the nail in the coffin for the existing location based services us geeks have come to use and love over the past couple years.
Privacy issues or not, Facebook Places is a force to be reckoned with. Though it lacks the game and deal features that current location based apps like Foursquare and Gowalla, possess, it's only a matter of time before businesses and ad dollars start flocking to the online juggernaut that is Facebook.
So who's going down?

Mashable just posted a video interview with their Jodi O'Dell and Foursquare Vice President of Mobile and Partnerships, Holger Luedorf. Foursquare sounds very optimist about the direction they are going and the ground they have already established in the world of location based apps. He discusses what Foursquare offers compared to the rest, as well as their hopes to integrate with Facebook and their other competitors.
